Kendrick Lamar and Nas Perform at the 2013 Governors Ball

Day two of the three-day Governors Ball music festival in Randall Island, New York City got a double dose of rap music as top MCs Kendrick Lamar and Nas performed some of their biggest hits. In contrast to the rain-soaked opening day, Saturday (June 8) was a lot drier and sunnier, with the crowd mindless of the inches-high mud that they had to wade through just to watch rap superstars Lamar and Nas as well as other top acts in the line-up as Kings of Leon, Azealia Banks and Icona Pop,

Lamar, wearing a black jumpsuit with white print of Gill-man from the 1950 horror film "Creature from the Black Lagoon", worked the main stage and got the crowd cheering as he performed a slew of his hits, both old and new. The Compton rap superstar dropped "A.D.H.D.", "Swimming Pools", "The Recipe", his verse in A$AP Rocky's "F***in Problems" and his latest single "Bitch, Don't Kill My Vibe".

Then over at the Honda Stage, Nas put on a comfy tracksuit for his performance but did not forget to accessorize it with a baseball cap and some clunky neck bling. The Brooklyn rapper pulled out old hits from his catalog, from his eleventh studio album "Life Is Good" and even way back to his debut LP "Illmatic".

Adding some more hip-hop vibe to the show was Azealia Banks, delivering her new single "Yung Rapunxel" and old favorite "212" in a cut-out, neon Spandex outfit.
